Gwyn has been acting sick again.
And again.
But at least this time, I know what's going on! I'm thrilled that there's a new little one on the way as I've been secretly wishing for a little girl. (a/n: nice maternity wear Gwyn)
The impending new arrival wasn't our only exciting news, though... it was time for another birthday party! Yes, my son was ready to leave his toddler years behind him. Gwyn and I both got some extra snuggle time with him before he grew too big for such nonsense.
We invited our friends and family over, of course. I was extremely surprised when I walked into my bedroom to see Jagger and my dear friend Maggie hanging out together! They spent the whole party deep in conversation, about what I can't imagine. I wonder if I should warn her that he's crazy and evil.
We also had a party crasher! I have no idea why this strange woman would want to come to a toddler's birthday party, but Gwyn made sure that she felt welcome. My wife is pretty amazing.
The birthday boy was very excited to blow out his candles, but once again the rest of the guests were too busy chatting amongst themselves to be bothered to watch. (I can't say much, though, I didn't actually make it in time, either.)
Make a wish, big guy!
He's a handsome boy, isn't he?
Gwyn and I bought him an easel for his birthday and Sebastian took right to it, before the party was even over! Maybe he'll be an artist like Mom and Grandma. It'd be kind of nice to have an artist around again, considering how practical Gwyn and I tend to be.
Gwyn was exhausted after all of the festivities and I had to get up early for work, so I'm afraid we left Sebastian to his own devices for dinner. I don't think he minded too much, though, and he was responsible enough to get to bed at a reasonable time.
*************
A/N: Sebastian seems to have Kevin's hair color since I don't see any blue in it at all. He's pretty cute, even without the blue though! Still no promotion for Zeke. At this rate, Generation 3 will go on forever! I hope things start happening soon, since I'd hate for the wishacy to end because I can't get Zeke promoted fast enough to make his LTW before he dies!
Outtakes!
What am I supposed to do with this?
Shoot for the stars, kid!
One night, Gwyn and Zeke went to bed and left Sebastian playing on the floor behind the furniture. He was actually happy enough to hang out there until Zeke got up for work and put him to bed. This kid is so easy!
Enjoying the hot tub, Kev?
It took me awhile to figure out why the party crasher was so familiar... it's Neli's old partner Letitia, from way back when she first started on the police force!
Bonni hates Jagger. Most everyone agrees with her.

Gen 3 Chapter 19: Toddler time
I can't believe it's already time for Sebastian to have his first birthday! I have to admit, I'm a little bit worried about trying to teach him everything he needs to know as he grows up... can't he just stay a sweet, little baby?
Gwyn wanted to have a big party with all of our friends and family, but we had to pick and choose our guests considering Sebastian has 10 aunts and uncles! We made a point to fit Patience in, even though she's not technically a family member. Jagger is still pretty hung up on her and I think she'd be a good influence on him. Not that I would try to push them into anything...
Gwyn brought Sebastian to his cake while our guests enjoyed visiting. It was so nice to see everyone that I think the birthday boy might have been upstaged a little!
Our little guy grew into a very handsome, very bald toddler. He definitely has his mother's eyes and my complexion, though!
After the excitement of the party, I spent the rest of the weekend sprucing up the garden. I figured Gwyn might not have as much time for it now that she will spend her days keeping up with a toddler. With any luck, this will help me with my elusive promotion too.
Meanwhile, Gwyn decided to get right to work teaching Sebastian to walk. She told me that she thought it would be good for him to be able to keep up with us! I think I'm still going to miss the days when he would stay wherever we put him.
Luckily, he seems to be just as happy and content as he was as a baby! I might be spoiled for any future children by just how undemanding my son is.
I'm grateful, it gives me the opportunity to work in the garden or go fishing without worrying that I'm neglecting him.
His extremely predictable sleeping schedule also means that I get to reconnect with Gwyn.
Even if I still don't understand why she does some of the things she does.
And I really enjoy my quality time with my boy.

A/N: Not much going on in this chapter, other than the birthday party. Zeke is still not getting his promotion and I can't figure out why. I just can't seem to get his work meter high enough even though everything is green! I had a serious lag problem with the birthday party and it took almost 10 Sim hours to get through it, but that seems to have resolved itself. Sebastian rolled "animal lover" as his new trait so I'm hopeful that we might finally get a pet into the house!
Outtakes!
Patience and Jagger got really close during the party.
An interesting traffic jam- Jagger and Lorali, with Patience's arm through a plate that's stuck to Lorali's hand. Jagger is not impressed.
The party started at 1pm and it was way after dark before Sebastian actually made it to toddler!
Interesting parenting, leaving the toddler outside in the middle of the night with a bottle and a ghostly grandfather.
Maybe it's time to potty train Sebastian?

Gen 3 Chapter 18: Easiest Baby Ever!
I've been working on getting a promotion forever and I was a little worried that having a new baby in the house might make it harder to do my research. I've taken to getting up early and cramming before the carpool shows up.
Gwyn and I had a serious discussion about childcare shortly after Sebastian was born and we decided that the best choice was for her to quit her job. I'm going to miss seeing her in her cute uniform, but this way she can focus on raising the kids and still work toward her goal of having a perfect garden.
The best part of this arrangement is how happy we all are with it. Things are amazingly easy and everyone is usually well rested! I know enough about newborns to know that this is a very unusual situation.
I do kind of wish that Gwyn would put some clothes on while she works in the garden during Sebastian's nap, though.
Sebastian's been such a happy and content baby that I decided that Gwyn and I could sneak off for a night on the town!
We'd both been wanting to get a tattoo so I called her one day after work and told her to get a babysitter and meet me at the spa! It probably doesn't seem like the most romantic date, but we had a great time.
After getting inked, we were even able to spend some time visiting with old friends. It wasn't long before Gwyn wanted to head home to Sebastian though. I don't blame her, I couldn't wait to show him the tattoo I got for him, either!
As an extra special treat for Gwyn that night, I did the middle of the night feeding. I'm really working on those "good husband" points, eh?
Cute baby pic spam!
I can't believe I get all that plus quality time alone with my wife!
**************
A/N: Sebastian is seriously the easiest baby I've ever had in any Sims game. He's cried maybe twice and is content to just hang around by himself. It's crazy. I forgot to mention his traits last time- he rolled friendly and genius at birth. I always use the randomizer for traits so it's kind of cool that he's already such a good mix of Gwyn and Zeke. Right after he was born, both Zeke and Gwyn rolled wishes to quit their jobs. Since Zeke's LTW is tied to his job, I couldn't allow that so I let Gwyn go ahead and quit. Speaking of Zeke, it was right around Sebastian's birth that Zeke got the 'eternally faithful' reputation. I have no idea what he did to get it or what it means, but it's totally in character for him!
Outtakes!
Derp!
This is the babysitter. Seriously, Sebastian is such a good baby that all she had to do was sit on the couch while Gwyn and Zeke were out.
Bonus cute baby pic.

Gen 3 Chapter 17: Oh. Baby.
I didn't know it yet, but my life was about to change.
When I got home from work that day, Gwyn was out in the garden. It didn't look like she'd made it to work, so I assumed she still wasn't feeling well. I jumped right in to help without even changing my clothes. When we were finished, Gwyn said that we "needed to talk".
Before I could get too worried about what was going on ("we need to talk" is generally a very bad thing!), Gwyn let me in on her big secret. She knew why she'd been so sick... she was pregnant! We'd talked about having kids, of course, and I knew it was in our future. But the reality of it threw me for a little loop. Still, I'm thrilled and excited! (And scared and worried and terrified and unprepared.)
I'm also very happy that Gwyn seems to be over the sick part of her pregnancy. She's hungry all the time and is usually in the kitchen long after I've gone to bed.
And then she sleeps half of the day! (She's cute pregnant, though, isn't she?)
It wasn't long before she woke me up in the middle of the night to let me know that it was "time"! I've never been through this before! What do I do?! Where do I go?! What's going on?! (I officially take back every remark I made about my Dad when he panicked during Mom's labor... it's terrifying!)
Luckily, Gwyn took matters into her own hands and got us into the car and off to the hospital.
And just a few hours later, we were headed home with a new baby. Meet Sebastian, my son!
He's perfect. And Gwyn is a natural taking care of him. She's a fantastic mother and makes it look so easy. I guess she had a lot of practice with her nephew, which is going to come in handy now!
Me? I might still be in shock a little. Everything has been happening so fast! All good things, but still big things! It wasn't long ago that I was living in a house with my siblings and my Mom, dateless and nerdy. And yet here I am, a married man with a new son! A family man! It's crazy.
I wouldn't change a thing, though... look at these two!
My life is just about as perfect as it could get.
**************
A/N: An heir! Yay! Sebastian is pretty cute, though he doesn't look very blue... I may have to rethink my "first born" heir policy if I want to keep the blue going!
Outtakes!
"I'm pregnant!" "Does this mean I don't get a new computer?"
A cute stray dog sleeping on the porch. I wish someone would wish for a Pet already!
Gwyn has unusual maternity wear. It cracked me up watching her do the pregnant waddle in a bikini with a flat stomach!
Where do you keep a cell phone in that thing, Gwyn?
Zeke panicked for a long time about the baby coming. Gwyn spent the time ticked off that he wouldn't move so she could make the bed before she had the baby.
Zeke was apparently so tired from being up all night at the hospital and then working all day that he couldn't even make it up the stairs to the bed!
