(A/N: I got lots of sim time this week!)
Would you believe that even after all of the drama between Lorali and Ira, Bonni still wants him? She hasn't convinced him to date her yet, but she keeps trying. I just don't get it.
At least the teen years are over for while. Jagger FINALLY celebrated his birthday. He really did seem to be an ornery teen for a significantly longer time than the rest of us, but that's probably because he was so very much trouble the whole time! I'm looking forward to not being responsible for him anymore.
Looks like the cocky attitude survived intact, though.
Is it just me, or does he have "crazy eyes" now?
Meanwhile, Mom seems to be trying to balance out Bonni's and Lorali's obsessions with older men by becoming a cougar herself. She invited Sean over again and has been very weird about it. She's all starry-eyed and stuff.
I haven't seen Gwyn for days and she's been busy every time I call her. I'm not sure what to think of that, but I'm not ashamed to say that I jumped at the opportunity to supply fresh produce to one of her sisters just on the off chance I'd run into Gwyn.
Averni seems very serious, but she loved the fresh veggies I brought her. I started to ask her whether Gwyn was home or not, when I spotted my girlfriend on the front porch.
She wasn't alone. I know that Gwyn is gorgeous and flirty and fun to be around, but I wish she'd tone it down just a little. I mean, was she leading this guy on or was I being a sucker?
Gwyn assured me that she loved me and was just talking to David. Totally innocently. I may be a fool to believe her, but I can't help it.
At that very moment, there on the porch with Gwyn, I became an orphan.
I'm devastated that I wasn't there with Mom in her last moments, but I'm glad that she was surrounded by the family of which she was so proud.
Bonni told me later that Mom begged the reaper for just a few more years of life. It was her fondest wish to see all of us happily married, but there was no reprieve. The reaper took her, just as she'd known he would from the moment she felt his eerie presence.
Gwyn did what she could to comfort me after I received the call from Bonni. I can't believe Mom's gone!
Jagger's first official day of work at the lab was pretty much a disaster for all of us. No one had slept well or eaten much and we were all pretty much too grief-stricken to do more than just survive the next few days.
One of us didn't even make it home from work!
************
A/N: RIP Neli! It was a little weird that she wanted to spend so much of her time with Sean over her last few days, though. Jagger finally aged up to adult and got the insane trait forced upon him because his teen years were so bad. I think it kind of fits, though.
Outtakes!
"Gee, Mom, could you wait until I finish my hot dog before you die?"
Weird butler is unfazed by death.
Sean was so upset by Neli's passing that he wept in the dining room for about 12 Sim hours straight before finally going home! Aren't evil sims supposed to like death, or at least be less affected?
So Gwyn apparently has 5 sisters! They all live in a one bed house and someone has a toddler, but I have no idea who's it is. I hope it's not Gwyn's!

Gen 3 Chapter 12: Girls!
Sometimes I feel bad that Bonni and Lorali are left to their own devices so much. Mom gets tired early now that she's old and is still called in to work at all hours of the day and night. And I've been busy with Jagger and Gwyn. I think I should start paying more attention, though, since both of them have taken up with older men since Dad died.
Like, really old. Elders.
Lorali started seeing Pete McKenna for some reason. I'm not even sure where they met!
And Bonni started inviting our coworker Ira over a lot. She has been trying to get him to ask her out, but he seems to be stringing her along.
Sometimes I try to talk to one or the other of them about it, but I really don't know what to say. They're adults, right? They're responsible for their own lives. Right?
It wasn't long before we got an extreme example of why dating random elders might not be the best idea. Word came that Pete had died! Lorali went into mourning, started slacking off, and acted completely irrationally for awhile.
Bonni continues to invite Ira over whenever she gets any free time. She's constantly flirting with him and he seems to enjoy the attention. But he doesn't seem to be making much effort to reciprocate. My brotherly protectiveness has been considering having a chat with him. He really should be treating her better than that.
Then, Bonni went into the kitchen to get a snack and Lorali (in all her irrational grief over Pete) decided to flirt with Ira! And he responded! If I'd been nearby, I would have knocked his block off.
Amazingly, Jagger was there and he stuck up for his sisters! I wish I could have seen him smacking that sleaze upside the head.
Of course, the reason that I missed out on all of the excitement was the best reason of all- a date with Gwyn.
I could gaze into her eyes forever.
Regardless of everything else that's going on in this house, I just can't seem to stop smiling!
***************
A/N: The whole Bonni/Ira/Lorali thing was so weird, but I was so proud of Jagger for protecting his family. He's pretty much a screw up most of the time, but that was so cool!
Outtakes!
No one is making any animal wishes yet, other than wanting to watch the ones they come across. It's still fun to see them around town, though!
Snake!
Zeke and Gwyn are becoming so close that they're practically one person!

Gen 3 Chapter 11: Grow up already!
I have been completely distracted by Gwyn and, as much as I love the distraction, it was causing a few problems at home.
Ok, one problem. And that problem's name is Jagger.
Not only was he still skipping school and ignoring his homework, he was starting to be a bad influence on his friends! Patience, in particular. I actually thought she was more level-headed than that, but Jagger has apparently been convincing her to skip school with him!
Yelling at him has done nothing to change his behavior. Time outs don't work. I'm not sure why he hasn't been grounded yet, maybe I'm waiting for Mom to step up and discipline him. Not that I think it will do any good, I'm pretty sure Jagger is a lost cause.
Then again, he did actually sit down and do his homework after I yelled at him this time.
And he went to school!
Or at least he got on the bus long enough for me to think that he was going to school. Then he came back home and bought ice cream while the rest of us were at work.
And so the cycle continues.
The next morning, the four of us "kids" sat down to breakfast together. I'd recruited the girls to try and reason with Jagger since I'd been doing so much yelling that I was pretty sure he wasn't listening to me anymore. Lorali lasted longer than Bonni, trying to appeal to Jagger's conscience (I'm not sure he has one, but whatever!).
Mom tried a different approach... she invited her new friend, Sean, over to talk about Jagger's problem. Maybe she thought Sean would have some insight that we didn't, considering he tended more toward the dark side, too. If she got any good advice, she didn't share it with me.
Either way, I worried that we were ganging up on Jagger a little bit so I let him off of the hook (yes, again, I'm not sure why I keep doing it either). I told him that we had a clean slate. No one was going to hold his past behavior against him and he could start fresh.
And then he passed out on the floor.
And then he dyed his hair. So much for a new start.

A/N: Jagger's teenage years seem to be going on forever! It finally occurred to me to check my settings and I discovered that aging had been turned off! I think Hubby did it when he was installing and testing Ambitions and Pets, but I'm not sure. Either way, Jagger is finally aging again and we should eventually get out of the teen years.
Outtakes!
Another traffic jam at the top of the stairs.
Bonni has started letting her coworkers experiment on her!
Weird butler managed to get herself stuck on a 2nd story ledge. There are no doors to that ledge and I have no idea how she managed to get out there! I also have no idea how long she was out there before I figured out that she was stuck! I had to install a door in the wall and move some furniture to get her back inside. Butlers are so weird.

Gen 3 Chapter 10: Be mine
Gwyn has a boyfriend. I didn't know what to say to that, so I just let her go home. As much as I was starting to fall for her, I didn't know how to stop her from leaving after a bombshell like that. So what I did something that has always helped me figure things out in the past. I went to talk to my good friend Maggie.
She told me that I have to decide for myself how much Gwyn means to me. She told me that I should definitely pursue the relationship, no matter what, if I was truly falling in love with Gwyn. She told me that I'd regret it if I didn't. And she told me not to mess up someone's life if I wasn't serious about it.
As an added bonus, I got to meet Maggie's son, Zane! He's adorable and I think he liked me.
I thought a lot about what Maggie told me. Did it matter to me that Gwyn was involved with Sal? Did I really want to break up their relationship? Could I really see myself settling down with Gwyn? Was I falling in love with her? How had I become the "other man"?
But I think I love her. I mean, my experience is limited but all I want to do is be with her all the time. When I'm not with her, I think about the next time I see her. When I am with her, I think about ways to make our time together as great as possible. So, yeah. I think I'm in love. I want her to pick me. I want her to break up with Sal. I wanted her to be MY girlfriend.
So I invited her to the beach to talk. She explained that she'd been with Sal far longer than she should have been. They'd been living separate lives for months (as evidenced by all the time she'd spent with me!) and she just hadn't had incentive to break up with him before.
I asked her what she wanted. Me or him? Would she break up with Sal for me? And she did! She picked me! I fear that I've made an enemy of Sal, but she is more than worth it.
And that's how Gwyn became my girlfriend.
I even invited her over to meet the family. Mom was thrilled, of course, as she has wanted me to settle down for a while now. She and Gwyn seemed to hit it off pretty well, though, and spent a lot of time chatting. I'm hoping that Mom's SuperSpy status and Gwyn's military service will give them enough in common so that I'm not a constant topic of conversation.
I've seen Gwyn pretty much every day this week. I decided to take her back to the place we met one evening. She loves the water and I love to see her happy. I also love it when she shows her appreciation.
The pool at night is a great way to get to know each other... and things get very interesting at night.
Let's just say that I didn't regret forgetting my swim suit one bit!
It was such a great time that we decided to visit the pool again a couple of days later. This time, we watched the stars instead of taking a dip. Though that might have had something to do with all of the people around!
Honestly, as long as we're together I don't really care what we do.
*************
A/N: Zeke kept wishing to see Gwyn and date her. I finally had him ask her to break up with Sal so that they could move on. Once that was done, he immediately wished to ask her to be his girlfriend so that's where they are. No marriage or baby wishes yet, though. Not even a woo-hoo. But I keep hoping.
Outtakes!
When I started the game up after Hubby installed the new expansion packs, I found everyone skipping work and hanging around the loading dock. Random!
This new maid doesn't seem to be evil, but she is very odd. Here she is making the bed while Zeke is still sleeping in it!
And here she is passed out on the floor. I don't know why she didn't go to bed!
Zeke carries on the family tradition of playing guitar in the bathroom. Must be the acoustics.
