Gen 4 Chapter 15: It's about time!

I wanted another tattoo.

I went to the tattoo shop, but there weren't any artists around.

Jake, the stylist, was there though. I still don't know why he isn't interested in me. Not that I'm unhappy sorta-being with Blu. I just think that Jake should have been more interested!




Anyway, he agreed to give me a tattoo. I'm not sure he's ever done that before, but it doesn't look too hard.

I got a cat put on my arm. Because I love cats.



I rewarded Jake for his work by jamming in his shop. There weren't any customers, though, so he just left in the middle of my show!

How rude!

I'll bet the old stylist, Jo, or the Ariel who's a tattoo artist would have stayed around and enjoyed my music.



In other news, Dad is apparently still thinking about Puzzle. He needs to get over that.



Because it looks like Puzzle might be moving on!



We recently got the call that Sebastian's crush, the ancient Arvid, had died. Sebastian was quite sad about that and Puzzle comforted him.

And then comforted him some more.



And then they FINALLY figured out what I've known forever... they belong together! It's a good thing, too, since I was about to lock them in a room to sort things out so that they'd stop carrying on with older men.

Things are good here. But way too crowded! I think I need to get rid of some of these humans so I can have more cats.

Or maybe I should just go live with Blu... he has a cat! That would make 4!

I don't think he's quite ready for us, though.

A/N: Finally, Sebastian and Puzzle started rolling wishes to interact with each other! It came right after Arvid died, so I guess Sebastian realized that that relationship was never going to go anywhere? 

Thanks for all of your guys' help with my game problem! Next time I'm able to play, I'll try some of that stuff out. I have a few chapters banked again now, though, so at least I don't feel that pressure.


Outtakes!

The first of many times that Zeke is lurking in a corner. He's getting a little creepy in his old age! Also, Nemo joined the science career... I have no idea what's up with his outfit here.


It would have been kind of hard to fit this into the story smoothly, but here's what was actually going on in the salon: Ariel was jamming in one room. Cherie Carter Flynn came in and joined her on the drums... several rooms away! So Jake was over there listening to that half of the concert. How does this even make sense?


Derp.


I'd almost forgotten Zeke's preference for sleeping in a sleeping bag in random spots around the house! He used to do it all the time in the old house. Of course, here he's in Sebastian's and Puzzle's bedroom. Creepy Zeke!

Game issue

Apparently it's my turn again with the weird glitches... so Susan, this is probably mostly for you (being the technical wiz that you are!) but I'm open to suggestions from anyone and everyone!

I got a chance to play my game this afternoon after several weeks off and a weird thing is happening! No one can interact with their romantic partners!

My Sims can all interact with other family members and friends/acquaintances/etc normally with all the usual interaction options. But when it's a Sim that they have a romantic relationship with, nothing pops up!

For instance, I select Zeke and click on Gwyn and nothing happens. I click on, say, Sebastian and get the full range of normal options. Gwyn can't interact with Zeke either. Oddly, I can get them to interact by using object options... like they can woo-hoo if I click on the bed and select them that way. But not directly.

Ariel went on a date with Blu, but all they did was stare at each other because I couldn't get any interactions to pop up! It's making me crazy and really messing with my chances of fulfilling any romantic wishes!

Does anyone have any suggestions that don't involve losing out on all of my relationships, wishes and happiness points? I'm afraid that I'll need to reload the family and lose everything.

Help!

Gen 4 Chapter 14: Back off, Puzzle!

Nemo's pool party was such a success that everyone started using the pool more.

They just won't listen to me! I don't understand why we even have to have a pool.

We should have bought a house that was safer. I don't know what Mom and Dad were thinking.

Anyway, Sebastian invited Arvid over to try and woo him. If you ask me, Sebastian is way more into Arvid than is healthy. It's like all he wants to do is talk to Arvid...



But since we were inviting people over just for fun now, I decided to have Blu over! And he agreed!

But then, Puzzle decided to try and entertain Blu! I'm guessing that he was just trying to get back at Sebastian for flaunting his relationship with Arvid, but I don't care.

I'm the only one who knows about what happened between him and Dad... if they want it to stay that way, Puzzle needs to back off!



I'm serious, Puzzle. Stop trying to entertain my maybe-possibly-should-be man!

I guess Blu is just too nice. He pretended to be interested in talking to Puzzle.



Eventually, I managed to shoo Puzzle away. I stick up for Puzzle a lot, since he used to be imaginary and all, so that should count for something. I wish he and Sebastian would just get over themselves and get together.

But all of that can wait. Because Blu is hot and I need to convince him that he should be my baby daddy.



I've been trying to figure out how I should act around Blu. Should I be flirty? Should I be cool? Should I be funny?

My family is no help with that, they're all crazy weird.

I'd asked Mom how she managed to snag Dad, but she just got a weird, dreamy look in her eyes and started talking about the local swimming pool. Sounds more like horror than romance to me!




Speaking of pools. I thought I should explain to Blu that water was sneaky and dangerous. I hope he doesn't mind that we won't have a pool when we get married and move in together.

Mom told me that I should probably wait a bit before I shared those thoughts with Blu, but I couldn't take the chance that something would happen to him... not with the pool right there, just a few steps behind him!



I think he was grateful that I cared so much about his well-being.

A/N: Blu and Ariel are moving right along. She keeps wishing to hang out with him and have great dates. So far, that's it but I'm hopeful that they're on the right track. Puzzle needs to knock off all of the random flirting, though. He's not even "flirty"! He just can't help himself, apparently!

Unfortunately, we're in the middle of moving and I have no idea when my Sims computer will make it here! It'd better be soon, though, since I only have one more chapter worth of pictures loaded!

Gwyn had been wishing to skinny dip for ages, but Nemo was never off of the lot long enough for her to get around to it. Finally, after he aged up, she was able to fulfill that wish. I think it's weird that it's ok for her kids to see her naked once they're adults!

Interlude: Origins of Blu

Just a quick note... The lovely buckeygirl80 creator of All My Wishes and all things wishacy stopped by to claim Blu! I'm so glad that I can give the proper credit now!

I got him from the exchange months ago, I think, but I could not for the life of me remember who exactly he came from. (I obviously need to pay more attention.)

Gen 4 Chapter 13: Everybody out of the pool!

After coming home from Blu's, I decided to check in on the cats. They're doing the usual cat things.

I hope they like their new little brother/sister (I really should have asked him!) once Blu realizes that he's in love with me.




Big new around here... it's Nemo's birthday! He's pretty happy about becoming an adult and not having to follow any of the "rules" anymore. Like going to school. He skipped out on the last half of his last day of school and Mom put him in time out!

It was pretty funny, actually. He was really ticked that she punished him when he's almost-practically an adult! Meanwhile, Mom was sad that her last baby is growing up. She says it's mixed feelings- part annoyed by his teenage behavior, part sad that all of her kids are grown, part amazed that she lived to see him grow up! Mom and Dad were pretty old when Nemo was born.

I think I should have kids while I'm still young. I'd better get to work on that!



Nemo wanted to have a pool party for his birthday. I think it's a bad idea.

Water is dangerous.

But I compromised with him. I agreed not to try to convince everyone to stay out of the pool so long as he posted some safety rules and made sure the guests all read them. And I got a lifeguard for the party, too.

Gnomes are good luck.



Nemo decided to get the nitty gritty out of the way before inviting his guests into the house, so he blew out his candles all by himself.

Meanwhile, lots of people were waiting at the door. I'm not entirely sure why a couple of them are sooty. I imagine that they work with Dad.

Looks like Nemo invited a lot of girls! Maybe I should invite Blu.

Wait. Maybe I don't want Blu around a lot of young girls in bikinis!

But I do want him around me in a bikini.

Hmmm...



Nemo has looked a lot like Dad ever since he was born and that didn't change after this birthday!

He seemed to hit it off with this one girl, Gretl. I wonder if there's anything interesting going on there.





I wonder why Nemo didn't wear his swim wear to his own pool party? Could it be that he finally listened to me about the dangers?

I'm glad that someone is paying attention to my wisdom and insight.



Gretl stayed until the next morning for some reason.

I guess she wasn't as interested in Nemo in the light of day, though.

I hope she wasn't thinking that she has a chance with Sebastian! She is kind of the opposite of Sebastian's type!

A/N: Poor Nemo. Gretl really didn't like him much after spending some time with Sebastian! The party took forever to get off of the ground, too. And several tries. The first time through, no one came in, they all just stood around outside the door. The second time, no one showed up at all! The third time, I did manage to have people come into the house and have a "great time", but they still didn't do much. I decided to just go with that one, though.

And Ariel did invite Blu, but he didn't show up to any of the parties. She did manage to get him over to the house eventually...

Oh, I almost forgot: Nemo got "absent minded" on his birthday to go with his couch potato, excitable, hot-headed, and handy traits. He's going to be in interesting guy, I think.

Gen 4 Chapter 12: Closer to Blu

Things are crazy at home. People kissing, random food poisoning, broken appliances...

It's time for a break!

Really, I think Dad should handle all of that stuff. He's the head of the family, after all. I'm just in charge of the story telling part.

Then again, he might be handling a bit too much of some members of the family!

I decided to get out of the house. And visit Blu. Because I kind of like him. I hope he likes me.

I think we should date.

I'm going to tell him that.




He has such an interesting house! It took me a while to convince him to let me in. I think he likes being alone. I have no idea what that's like! I don't think I've ever been alone... must me lonely, I'd think. But Blu doesn't seem to mind.



He's athletic like me. It's nice that we have things in common. I hope he agrees to date me.

Also, he has a cat. It's a good sign! Maybe he even has a good luck gnome!

I can't wait to find out!



He likes lifting weights, obviously. It works well for him, I think. It's a good look.

I like running. I think he should try it.

I told him that I'd be happy to push him into it.



Then I told him that he's the guy for me.

Or, at least, he should try to be the guy for me! We could have really great dates. And he could bring his kitten!



Then he told me that I should leave since it was getting late. I didn't even get to see the rest of his house! I think those rules are dumb, but I guess he has to go to work in the morning. I always forget about that.

I stopped by home to check on everyone and was very pleased to see that Mom and Dad are getting along. I worry that she might get upset about what happened with Puzzle. I know everyone seems to have forgotten all about it, but I just can't get it out of my head!

I know I said that Dad's in charge, but he's probably too old. I guess I'll be in charge again. Now that things have calmed down.



Blu is really missing out. I look good while I'm running!

A/N: Ariel wants to have a great date with Blu, but things have been a little too crazy. I tried to convince him to let her stay over, but he wasn't having it. He's a loner, which might mess up Ariel's quest to get to know him better. Still, I think they make a nice-looking couple and Ariel wants to be around him!

Gen 4 Chapter 11: Bad Macaroni

I can't believe Dad and Puzzle! Luckily, no one seems to know what happened except me. I suppose omniscience is the down-side of being in charge around here. It's a good thing that I'm smart enough to handle it!

I just hope Mom and Sebastian never find out about the crazy thing that happened in the kitchen.

Though I'm not sure how Sebastian and Nemo missed it, they were right within view! I guess they were just too focused on grieving Nuthatch.

So I guess that's one good thing to come out of the bird's death!

I saw a ghost. It was my great-grandmother. I wonder what she decided to read. I hope she talks to me some day.




Everyone decided to go swimming one night. Then they stood in the front yard. I don't know why. But at least it was safer than being in the water!

Dad told Puzzle that it was just never going to happen between them. Puzzle was sad, but I think he'll get over it. He must have known that deep down.

I still feel kind of bad for him. It must have been difficult to go from being imaginary to real. Or maybe he was trying to get back at Sebastian for seeing Arvid.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here, as head of household. I'd ask Dad, but he's kind of part of the problem! And I can't ask Mom! Or Sebastian.

Maybe I'll ask Blu. I'd like an excuse to see him again!

But what if he things we're too weird?



Things are pretty much back to normal now. Sebastian and I had breakfast together. We probably should have waited until Dad finished cooking something new, that macaroni and cheese just didn't taste right!



Sebastian wanted to know if he should get Arvid some flowers. Considering that Arvid is homeless, I'm not sure that is the best idea but I thought I should pretty much keep my opinions to myself about his romance... I know too much!

There are just some things that a sister or daughter should not know.



Dad took so long to cook breakfast that Mom and Nemo also just had some of the old macaroni and cheese.



Nemo actually went to school after that, but the rest of us weren't really feeling up to leaving the house. I wonder why we were all sick? It's weird.

Also, Dad didn't get sick. Maybe because he works at the science center? Maybe they're working on super immune system stuff or something.

I don't think that's fair. He should share with the rest of us.

I'm going to have to talk to him about that.



It's hard to be in charge of a whole family.



Cats are easier.

A/N: It's the weirdest thing. No one seems to be the least bit bothered by the fling between Zeke and Puzzle! Well, other than Puzzle being sad about being rejected. He's very sensitive. It did entertain me that everyone but Zeke gave themselves food poisoning! Puzzle was at work, so he missed out. You'd think that a couple of them would have decided against eating spoiled food.
