Gen 4 Chapter 10: OMG!!!! PUZZLE!!!! WTF!?!?!

When we last saw Mom, she was getting a tattoo. Good on her, I think.



I went back to the salon to hang out with her, now that Puzzle was completely dressed and leaving Nemo alone. Puzzle's main problem seems to be that he's bored and stressed. I told him that he should find a way to relieve his stress. I'm hoping that he'll do something fun with Sebastian or something.

Anyway, I met some new people at the salon! This is Jake. He doesn't seem to like me very much, but I'm sure he'll come around. I'm very likable. And Jake is going to be the new stylist, so it could be handy to have such a fashionable friend.



Meanwhile, back at home... Puzzle has decided that he, too, has a thing for older men.



Ummm....



No, wait...



Ahhhh! Dad!!!! What are you doing?????



Poor Sebastian has no idea. He's all happy and in love with that drifter, Arvid.



Suddenly, meeting Blu is the least of the excitement happening in my family tonight!

A/N: This chapter is short on words, pretty much how I was when this whole thing unfolded! I clicked on Puzzle's "stressed" box and let him decide how to relax while I was paying attention to Ariel. I noticed that he chose "woo-hoo" and was hoping that it was with Sebastian... way back when, woo-hoo with IF Puzzle was Sebastian's way of de-stressing. I couldn't believe my eyes when I clicked back over to Puzzle! And Zeke was a willing participant! So. Crazy. And sad that I missed some of Ariel's interactions with Blu during this whole fiasco.

They never did make it to the woo-hoo part, thankfully. Zeke eventually turned Puzzle down.


Not that it stopped Puzzle from trying again! Puzzle, stop it!


Meanwhile, Gwyn is happily telling herself how great she is at the salon.

Gen 4 Chapter 9: My Mom, the rebel...

I haven't decided if my whole family is weird or if it's just me.

Take Puzzle, for instance. He likes to sleep in other people's beds.

He especially likes Nemo's bed and Nemo keeps complaining to me about that. Like I'm supposed to do something about it? I don't know. I think he should just share the bed with Puzzle... I mean, Puzzle is a little odd and used to be imaginary, but it's not like he's a serial killer or anything.

As far as we know.



Maybe I shouldn't have said that... Nemo is a little obsessed about Death right now! He tried talking to Dad about it, but Dad is mostly wondering if Nemo will ever graduate.

I know where Dad's coming from! Nemo hardly ever goes to school and he's exhausted when he does go since he refuses to sleep with Puzzle.



Dad did manage to make himself useful in other ways, though! He fixed the sink. Mom says that he used to fix things for her all of the time but this house is so new that not much has gone wrong yet. I think Dad liked getting the old wrench out again.

It's good for elders to feel useful, even if they've lived way past their useful years.

Not that I would ever tell Dad that. I don't think he'd take it the right way.



Mom has a tattoo from way back when Sebastian was born. She suddenly decided that she wanted to get another one!

I just don't know what's gotten into my parents lately. It's like they want to be all young again or something. Maybe it's a old-life crisis? They're too old for a mid-life crisis. I think.

Still, it would be pretty fun if Dad suddenly went out and got an earring or Mom started trying to be a cougar.



So I took Mom to the salon where I've gotten my tattoos. I mean, if she's going to be all crazy about stuff all of a sudden, I figure she should at least be supervised!

The Ariel who's a tattoo artist wasn't there. I kind of miss him. That Jo girl wasn't there either, so there was no audience for my music. I decided not to play.

And then it all got to be too much for Mom. I guess it takes a lot of energy to be the hip, young mom!



Meanwhile, Puzzle was hanging around in his underwear. Nemo called to complain about it. Like that's the weirdest thing to happen today?

But I think we might be a weird family.



So I went home to talk to Puzzle about personal boundaries. Not that I really care, but I suppose someone needs to teach him the social stuff.

I think it should be Sebastian since he's the one who brought Puzzle over into the real world. But Sebastian is still to busy mooning over Arvid.

Except that Arvid is homeless now! I'll bet it's because he has too many girlfriends and boyfriends. It must take a lot of money to woo that many people. Sebastian should find someone else to settle down with, I think.

I'll cut him some slack, though, since Arvid is super old and will probably die soon.

Which will probably throw Nemo for a loop. He's so touchy!



Dad tried to cook dinner while Mom was passed out at the salon. I don't think it went well.

I wonder if I can walk through objects. That would be a cool power.



Mom finally did wake up long enough to get a tattoo from that lady who did my last one. She got wings in honor of Nuthatch. He was our bird. I don't think I ever told you his name.

He was Mom's bird, really. She brought him from our old town. I wonder where she got him.

A/N: This is a super random chapter, I know. It's mostly to finish up some pictures that I've had hanging around. Also, I'm writing this from our temporary home at my in-laws while I'm getting the kids ready for bed. So a little distracted today! Still, it does set up a bit for future events. I also noticed that Zeke is already 108! My life span is set for 100... apparently, he's just going to live forever!

Ariel really wanted to pet this wild horse. She followed it around for hours, trying to make friends. But no matter what she did, it still hated her.



Awww... Nemo finally found somewhere to sleep!

Gen 4 Chapter 8: Tattoos and false idols

I hope Sebastian finds love with Arvid, I really do. But he's soooo old, you know?

Arvid, not Sebastian.

Though Sebastian is older than me.

He's also older than Nemo.

Anyway, I decided to get another tattoo. I went to the salon and both the stylist and the tattoo artist were there!

But then the Ariel who's a tattoo artist left.

Why do people always leave when I show up?




I decided to play some music instead.



I think the stylist (Jo!) liked it. I mean, how often do you get a free concert right there in your place of employment?

Maybe a lot, I wouldn't know, I don't have a job.

Still, I think it was a very cool thing for me to do, considering that the Ariel who's a tattoo artist left as soon as I got there and I couldn't get a tattoo like I'd been wanting to forever.



Then I went to the gym. I know we have exercise equipment at home, but I like to get out of the house. There's just so many people there!

Also, I like to meet people. I wonder why no one wants to meet me.



Eventually I got some other tattoo artist to give me one. I don't remember her name and she wasn't as impressed as the Ariel who's a tattoo artist about looking at me in my bathing suit, so it wasn't as much fun.

It's a gnome, of course. Gnomes are good luck.



Later, I had dinner with Puzzle and Nemo. Nemo hasn't been going to school. I told him that he should go to school. I also told him to stay away from drugs.

I'm responsible like that. I don't think I get enough credit for how smart I am. People should listen to me.



I'm a little worried about Rylee, though. She seems to have mistake our new Gnubb set for some kind of god. It might be because their leader looks a little bit like a gnome and gnomes are very special. But it seems like bowing down to a non-gnome is a bad precedent to set. I'm going to have to talk to her about false idols.



But first I had to explain to Dink that water was bad. He hasn't shown any interest in the pool and I know cats are notorious for not liking water, but better safe than sorry.

It's a big responsibility taking care of all of the people and creatures around here. It's a good thing that I'm so responsible and good at being in charge of the family.

A/N: Another short, not much going on kind of chapter. I'm not near my game enough to play or even upload my latest set of pictures! So I'm stretching this most recent upload out as looong as I can! Hopefully, it won't get too boring and I'll be able to move the story along just enough to get me through this weird limbo that we're in. I'm hoping that we'll be moving in to our new house in a few weeks and I should be able to play again then! BTW, has anyone checked out Supernatural yet? I can't wait.

I'm not sure what Nemo wants to set on fire here, but there's Baxter in the background mourning that damn bird.


And now Zeke and Nemo have to mourn, too! I swear, this bird got mourned more than all of my other dead sims combined!


This family likes to cook. They aren't as interested in finishing the process. There are at least 3 meals hanging around here (and probably more around the corner on the counter by the sink!).


There goes another trampoline! Gwyn and the repossess-er really should have a little talk.

Gen 4 Chapter 7: My brother, cemetery doctor

You know what's weird? Vaccinations.

Well, not just the vaccinations. It's where they do them!

Sebastian was supposed to do some kind of vaccination clinic for his job or something. So they sent him to the cemetery!

Can you believe it? Like that wouldn't be kind of freaky to the people getting vaccinations. "Hey, have a shot. You probably won't die or anything, but just in case it will be very convenient!"

If you ask me, though, Sebastian enjoyed giving people giant injections a little too much.



Aunt Bonni was even there to get a shot. Sebastian says that she's enjoying being married quite a lot. I guess she would, she waited long enough! I'm not waiting that long to get married.

Where would I find a husband, though? I never see anyone when I go out.



I'd ask Sebastian, but he's too busy meeting old men in the park.

And that's pretty much just how it sounds.



Sebastian met this Arvid guy at his vaccination clinic and just couldn't wait to see him again! Arvid is totally even older than Dad. AND everyone in town wants him. Is he some kind of super lover or something?

I don't know. I don't see the appeal, but I remember both Aunt Bonni and Aunt Lorali having a thing for him at some point in the past. Bonni, in particular, used to get in these spectacular public screaming matches over this guy.

I just don't see it.



Apparently, Sebastian does though. I love my brother and all, but I'm not sure he stands a chance... not with this guy, anyway. I mean, Sebastian obviously likes men but you'd think he could make a more appropriate choice!

("Appropriate choice"! Don't I sound smart and in charge? It's a good thing Dad chose me to lead the family!)



I suppose it's possible that that Arvid guy was just teaching Sebastian the super secret handshake of the same sex inclined or something.

Yeah, that must be it.



Or not. What is it will this family and older men?



I wonder if Dink will like his new daddy...

A/N: Another short chapter, but at least I wrote one! We're living half of our week at my in-laws right now (and the other have at our house) while we try to close on a new house. The kids are in school in the new town, which means lots of driving and no Sim playing for me! How do you like Sebastian's choice in men? Wait until you see who Puzzle chooses!

At the vax clinic, I noticed Bonni grieving at a couple of unmarked graves. I'm wondering if they belong to Neli and Kevin, as those were lost in the move. I grabbed them and moved them to the home lot, but no ghosts so far...


Another trampoline. Gwyn keeps wishing to buy one and then no one uses it. And then it gets repossessed. This on makes three. Someone really should pay the bills occasionally!



Puzzle feeds the cats with flair. He's kind of fun to have around! (For now, anyway.)
