Let's check in on Nemo

Recent computer problems have really messed with my ability to Sim. We've solved most of them by investing in a new laptop for gaming purposes. We've installed all of our expansion packs and I downloaded all of my favorite mods. I even started out with CC Magic before I added any custom content back in! It's almost like totally organized.

We were able to rescue the Hodgins and Wonder families off of the dead computer, which made me feel a lot better. I was particularly worried about losing the Hodgins kids! Weirdly,( even though I'd played through Yeti's teen birthday before the final crash, I have Saver installed and the date and time listed was from right before the crash), Yeti still had 4 days to go before her birthday. I'm not thinking too much about it, though. I'm just going to play through her birthday and then pick up the story from there.

So since I'm just trying to keep everyone happy in my game and killing time, I spent a few hours observing Nemo. It was quite entertaining so I'm going to share!

Nemo is such a player. I got a pop up letting me know that he had a new girlfriend. Of course. I've lost count of how many girlfriends and engagements he's had in my game!

Her name is Jazlyn Parrott.

Nemo is really into her, but she doesn't look as excited about him.



Apparently, everyone loves her though. She's got guys lining up!



This guy is named Kanoa Parrott! I checked his status and his family tree... he's single, but he and Jazlyn have two kids together! Apparently, he's not over her.



I can kind of understand it, though, because they still live together! I almost feel sorry for the guy!



Nemo totally took advantage of her rejection of Kanoa to refocus the attention on him.



Even after the (probably multiple and over many days) rejection, Kanoa still wants Jazlyn.



Nemo and Jazlyn watched the stars, briefly.



She really doesn't look like she's that into Nemo.



At first, I thought that it might be because her ex was standing right behind them while Nemo tried to put the moves on her...



Then Nemo had to leave (I have no idea where he went) and Jazlyn and Kanoa stood around talking about him! For a really long time!













Then they started arguing.







And then Jazlyn tried to give him flowers! So, apparently Jazlyn is totally using Nemo to make Kanoa jealous? Or maybe they're grifters out to get Nemo's money?



Kanoa turned her down, though.



And poor Jazlyn went home alone.



I haven't received any updates about Nemo and Jazlyn breaking up yet, but it's just a matter of time. I did get a pop up that Nemo broke up with Benni and that he's stalking her. He also started dating Alouette. Kanoa broke up with someone named Imogen.

Nemo has the craziest love life!

The plot thickens, but not in a good way...

Today, I turned on the computer with my Sims game on it and... nothing. Well, not nothing, just nothing visual. So either the video card is dead or the whole thing is fubared! Tech-hubby isn't sure at this point whether it's recoverable or not.

I'm trying not to freak out. I don't want to lose Yeti and Bumble and Snow! I'd have to start back at the beginning of Ariel's generation.

I can get the Wonders back since I spent the time uploading them to the exchange (I never did get the Supernaturals to work, but I can convert the humans back to form), but what if they're not the same?

I'm probably panicking prematurely, but... AHHHHHHH!

On the other hand, it might be a good excuse to get a little faster gaming computer.

Seriously?

This is a whining post, not a story post. Feel free to wait for the actual story post!

Assuming there ever is one!

I've been trying to get the Wonders uploaded, but I decided to take a break from that today and play the Hodgins. There's a lag in that game, for no good reason, and it took me almost 3 hours to play through one Sim day. One! I just wanted to get through two days so that I could post about Yeti's and Snow's birthdays!

I finally made it to Yeti's birthday. You may recall that I was trying to get there last time I played, too, but the game crashed on me. So I finally made it! She had cake! She aged to teen! I gave her a make over! I came out of CAS and...

*crash*

Before I could even save the game. I had saved not long before, but it was definitely before her birthday. So I have to play her birthday over again.

I am seriously never going to make it past her birthday. It's been weeks that I've been trying to get through this one day!

And I'll never know what Snow looks like as a child since I have a whole other Sim day to get through before that even happens.

So, what do you think? Pack up the family and nuke the town? I could actually probably finish out Ariel's LTW quickly and not lose any progress there. Blu's LTW is fubared anyway.

Intermission

I spent my potential Sim time today uploading the Wonders!

(They're just on the Exchange because I'm not all techy like Susan.)

I have both Supernatural and Human versions of the kids, aged to young adult. I also put up an all human version of the whole family as it stands now (Clark and Linda are teens, Kent is a child). There should also be the supernatural version of the family, but it's not there and I don't know why. I'll have to try to figure that out another day!

Unfortunately, spending my whole morning editing sims and moving them in and out of households and uploading them means that I didn't get any time to actually play! There won't be a Hodgins update until I get more game time, but I do have pictures ready to go for the Wonders so there should be a new ISBI chapter later this week.
