Gen 4 Chapter 26: Nova!

I guess Blu was serious when he said he wanted to sculpt with me! He almost looks as good sculpting as he does working out.

I wonder if he'll ever realize that he should have babies with me.

Mom misses having a pool. She wants to get a hot tub, but I just can't let that happen. Water is dangerous. I keep telling her that.

That didn't stop her from visiting the community pool, though.

And she was skinny dipping!

My parents are so weird.

I wonder if the magic is gone between me and Blu. I think we need to work on our romance.

I did manage to sculpt enough clay to get a promotion and get permission to start working with wood!

I'll have to tell Blu that. I'll bet he'll be impressed.

We did decide to adopt a kitten... Blu was missing his cat from back on Lunar Lakes and I want to adopt lots and lots of them.

This is Blu with Nova. Isn't she adorable?

Blu's adorable, too! I hardly got a chance to snuggle with Nova, he almost never let her go! He's going to make such a good dad.

**********
A/N: Awww... new kitty. Blu autonomously carried Nova all over the house with him and pretty much won't leave her alone if he has a free moment! If only he or Ariel would wish to have a baby. I'm very close to taking over for a sim day and forcing the issue. Both Zeke and Gwyn are wishing for grandkids, though, so I might be able to use that as a loophole!

Outtakes!

Blu looks creepy sleeping in his sleeping bag before the bag actually shows up! The puddle is where some random townie got stuck hanging out behind the picnic table and peed four or five times before I reset her.

Nova wonders where the ghosts are, too. We all miss VJ and Trixie and Kevin and Neli!

  1. oooh first comment for once!! I bet it's really frustrating for you having two sims who refuse to reproduce! I think the fact that the elders are asking for grandchildren is a perfectly acceptable loophole!

    Nova is adorable :)

    1. Yay! I was getting lonely with no comments!

I really do think that I can use Gwyn's and Zeke's wishes to my advantage. Poor Ariel won't know what hit her!

  2. I just saw this on my blogroll. Why didn't my RSS reader notify me??

Actually, it appears my notifier plugin went on the fritz and I have a lot to catch up on....

Isn't a wish for grandkids a legitimate route to babies if they're in the wishacy household? I mean, you can give a child the Genius trait because the parents wished him to be a Genius. It seems logical.

    1. BTW: I think I am going to move the Sample ghosts to a private graveyard. I think there are enough around to be causing lag. I'm going to miss them, though. I'm considering keeping Susie around and Charles and Veronica for a while when they kick the bucket.

    2. I was getting lonely... only one of my three commenters commented!

I think the wish for grandkids is totally legitimate, I just wish that Ariel would show some interest in that part of her life, too. She and Blu are just being mean to me now.

  3. Nova is a cute kitten - I'm glad Ariel finally took up the adopting again. A house without animals would have been boring!

  4. Since the count was reset, Nova is just one of six that Ariel needs to adopt... I'm torn between trying to get it done and not driving myself crazy with lots of animals! I suppose I could adopt old cats so that they'll die and get out of the way, but that seems mean. Plus, Ariel and Blu would probably get attached to them and then get all sad.

Also kittens are super cute and they make everyone so happy.

    1. If you want to reset Ariel's LTW to what it was, you can do that using Mastercontroller->Advanced->Lifetime Wish: Change Tally. I'd hardly think that was cheating since she legitimately adopted all those cats!

Also, I learned about an option buried in StoryProgression that I just used to fix a glitch in the Samples where school was perpetually "not in session" and Veronica couldn't get any ghost hunting jobs. It's on City Hall DebugEnabler->Town->Fix Homeworld. I don't know if that would have fixed your problems or not. It's a very vague name, and so far I've only seen it on the forums for my specific problem. But it's a good one to keep in mind.

    3. Ha! What does an out-of-work programmer do when she's not simming? Read Sims docco!
